    Well thank you, sir!

Can I just say that Red Hot and Blue was just the pick-me-up I needed to get out of the post Southport Blues! What a great night! Fantastic music both by Mr DD and by Gus, and lots of great dancers to play with. And cuddles!!

Beach Ballroom just didn't do it for me this time, although I did have a lot of good dances with great dancers (haven't danced with Mr Fitz for ages, but got 4 last night, woooo!!!), and it was very nice to meet some new forumites. Feeling slightly worse for wear today, after very little sleep over the weekend, and after the after party-party at Freya's (thanks, hon!).

Rounded off the weekend nicely this afternoon by going for a walk up a hill (Sidlaws) on the outskirts of Dundee, but am now knackered and need food, a bath and lots of sleep!

    Red Hot & Blue

Just a quick post ... will try to post something more meaningfull later.

Well .. simply, the BEST freestyle night I've been to in years! RH&B really sets a stanard for others to try to achieve.

Awesome dancers, freindliest bunch, great music from DD (stating to see what all the fuss is about ) .... and cake!

Its great playing on a 'specialist night' ... make sit easier to push the envelope. Nice to have one's DJ ego 'managed' .... its first time my DJ set has evee come second place to carrot cake .... though LM's cake was very good.

One thought that did come to mind ... would LOVE to see a Battle of the Blues DJs: .... DD; Marc; Lounge Lizard.

Re: Who's going where? Weekend 15/16/17th Feb 2008

Just a short report about the impromptu FREESTYLE I held last Friday at The Green Man, Kingsbury.
We had some brilliant dancers, and I am overjoyed to advise that almost EVERYBODY asked me when the next one is.....
WATCH THIS SPACE, as they say.
As a point of interest some people travelled a good distance to be there, and those that did said it was well worth the travel.
ESTIMATED TOTAL RETURN MILES TRAVELLED by all who came - - - -
OVER 1,560 miles, that's over 50 hours of travel time
Just as well we started at 8pm and went on till gone 1am ! ! !

If you were there last Friday THANKS SO MUCH for coming,
    and PLEASE spread the word.
I was also delighted to hear that I got the music "just right". Thanks for all the posative comments.
SO HERES TO THE NEXT ONE
AND, just a few pics to show you what you missed

    Thanks you all again.
    Bob

Sometimes we don't realize how spoiled we can be in Edinburgh .

I very much enjoyed your set; Gus.

That would be an event I'd be interested in .

I had a great time at Red Hot and Blue. I can't think of a freestyle event in recent time that topped it. It seems that so many of the dancers I haven't seen in ages were back and it was wonderful to catch up with them. I had many great dances and lots of hugs , the music was mostly awesome and the cake wasn't a lie.

    Fab night .
