Are you a Ceroc Purist?

I think fueds are bad for the dancefloor, everybody makes mistakes.

Starts as a two handed move mans left and ladies right hand released and click away facing each other. Double handed again. Mans right hand and ladies left hand released and click away and facing each other. Then pushing away on alternate hands like a lindy type of move and spinning the lady. Hope this makes more sense to everyone else than it did to my partner lol.

That move, from how you describe it, sounds a bit like a Cha-Cha move, combined with a bit of Lindy Hop.

Perhaps it's not that she only dances "Official Ceroc Moves", but that she doesn't feel comfortable incorporating other dance styles into her Modern Jive?

God knows what it was move wise Ducasi it seems to work well and I stick with it. It was never something I learnt in a lesson or elsewhere as far as I remember but still I feel it is not difficult to follow. To this end though perhaps I will start the thread "does the leader confuse you."

I was put out by a female dancer at a recent Kidderminster freestyle who said to me that she only does "official ceroc moves" Being being this way inclined surely she is limiting her overal dance experience and repetoire. While I understand that the Ceroc formula has been very successful in its various forms over the years I have to ask the question "Are you a Ceroc Purist".

No Lory sadly she was downright rude and just walked off. I regard myself as a fairly advanced dancer so tend to invent moves as I go. Unfortunately she didnt like it. Never mind I have learnt a bitter lesson.

As the lady in question isnt here to defend herself Ill respect her right to say at a ceroc venue I dance ceroc moves, give the girl a break maybe your invented moves frighten her ?

I was there and to me it's a case of the expecting to be led by purely move monsters. Move, finite end. Move, finite etc. Not a make it up leader as it were.
