Would be cool to see folk - it's my birthday then (hmmm... or ....)
We are trying to arrange a 16 seater bus to this event. if we fill it, it will cost £12.50 per head return, from and to the Friary.
I promise it will be on time!!
If not Bob will give us the bus for free!!

I'm scouting for any dances
Mild side-tracking but....my problem is to blues in Edinburgh, or to not blues in Aberdeen?
There is a "January Blues" night in St Stephens, Edinburgh on Saturday 24th January, with a blues class from 8pm until 9pm and then dancing until 1am.
Not just blues, we've got the "two and only", Marc Forster & Rachel Pears, coming up to teach 4 workshops over the Valentine's weekend:There's a blues weekend in Glasgow in Feb
Saturday AM - Traditional Blues
When in doubt, Blues basics will get you a long way. For many, dancing Blues for the first time allows you the space to think. It creates a place in time where you can feel your way through a dance with clear intention. Expect a variety of base moves which are easy to learn, look superb and feel sensational.
Saturday PM - A Taste of Tango
Tango is characterized as a dance of improvisation based on mutual communication between two partners moving as one. Sharing a common bond with Modern Jive, Argentine Tango has no hard and fast rules which cannot be broken. If you wish to become a master at improvisation while dancing Modern Jive, Tango holds the key.
Sunday AM - Close Encounters
Mixing up styles to suit the mood. Marc and Rachel will deliver a rock solid routine showcasing beautiful dancing to beautiful music.
Sunday PM - Spunky Bushcraft
The Blues room is a place where contrast is accentuated. There cannot be shade without light. Funky music reigns supreme as we round off the weekend on a high with a selection of slotted moves with a laidback feel.

Don't blame me Marc supplied me with all the titles

I've danced blues with Gadget too
What with that and the assurance from TheTramp for at least a few blues tracks, well...my mind's 99% made up...gotta keep that 1% for the women's perogative
And I shall be booking on for a bit of Spunky Bushcraft!!!!!!! As soon as it appears on the booking site
I think you might have just read that wrong!
The Marc and Rachel weekend is in February - NOT at the same time as the Aberdeen party. And now that I've read things properly too and realised that ther'es only and hour of blues at the beginning of the Ediburgh night, Aberdeens' looking very appealing (and it means I get to do the good daughter, auntie, sister bit too)
