There are obviously loads of sales on at the moment with the credit cruch and all. and there are some great bargains to be had.
I received an e-mail from Martins moneytips today which included info about De Vere hotels .
The hotels look really posh and there are some rooms at weekends for £10 or £19 . worth a look.

I just had a good result...
Its my brother's birthday in Feb and he's having a party. There's a few of us who're coming from a distance and need to stay over.
We've all been ringing various cheap hotels to get prices but then I had an idea and rang the nearest hotel, which happens to be the plushest and spoke directly to the manager, who instantly agreed to make a special price for a group booking.
So now we're all staying in the best hotel, which is nearest to the party, including a full breakfast and its only working out at £10 extra per person, than some of the other 'budget' hotels, which don't include breakfast at all!
Plus, we can use all the gym and spa facilities!
It pays to be bold and ask!

I was wrong..... its the Watford Hilton that claims to have the largest dance floor in Herts.

The way I read it was the largest ballroom. The picture I saw shows a small dancefloor.
There was a TV program on over the Christmas period about dancing during the second world war. For me there were far to many telling about the good times they had filmed in large halls now covered in carpet.
