Try the Contact link on the right hand side. This then shows "Map and Directions"
I want people to nominate a website and give REASONS why its the worse they have seen and provide a link of course (for the men no Porn ones please some people are at work)
This one is a posh hotel, forget all the fancy stuff I dont like. I think a hotel should tell you where it is ???
Maybe a map ,post code etc (anyone find it in under 5 mins gold star)

Love dance, will travel
But I agree it's not obvious. You don't want to Contact them, you just want to get there...
Love dance, will travel
But, but, you can click on the "Locations" section...
Hey, what happened? I'm now at a website for a completely different hotel?
Actually, if you click on 'Contact Us', there's an address at the bottom of the page. (Though I actually found it quicker by searching for "Map" in the search box. But only because I already knew it wasn't going to be easy to find).Maybe a map ,post code etc (anyone find it in under 5 mins gold star)
None of which is to indicate that I don't agree with you. I don't mind "low tech" websites missing the odd bell and whistle, but when someone has clearly spent lots of £ and effort on a whiz-bang animated flash website and the basics are missing, I do wonder how long it will be before we can send them all on a 'B-Ark'.
Maybe Im showing my age but I hate these flashy web sites
You know the hotel in the Maldives type when you put your mouse over a line , 19 images then come up and you find your down loading a curry recipe before you can EVEN see what the rooms look like.
I would do it like this
COPPER BEACH HOTEL
ADDRESS
DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN
These websites do it on purpose so you have to wade through all their selling points.
Also emails do it too. To find out the address of a venue, you have to log on to Facebook to see the rest.
using spyfu I find Ceroc.com appears to be using adwords
http://www.spyfu.com/UK/Domain.aspx?...19756311427366
I did a google search on 'ballroom dance class' , which is allegedly their top keyword phrase to display their ad.
I got an ad for buyagift.com in sponsored ad spot 2. This got me to Karen Hardy's page. A search on Ceroc on that site will find a 5 class gift package, but I cannot see the searcher for ballroom classes finding that.
on the sponsored ad list I saw Ceroc.com under the heading Ballroom dance class. There is another version of the ad that says Salsa dance class, presumably to match their Salsa keywords.
Clicking on the ad got me to the Ceroc pick an area page,
http://ceroc.com/LearnToDance/
with a back link to show Ceroc how I got there, which I have removed.
This asks for my postcode, which got me to a page listing local venues
If I right click on one and open in a new window or tab it offers me a free voucher sent by email. At first sight it looks like I can get as many free admissions as I have email addresses. There should be some checks further into the system to prevent that, if not it can be fixed.
The sales blurb on the learn to dance page is the usual
To me that is incomprehensible, and to a novice dancer would seem far too complicated. At least they have not included hip-hop in this rendition.... You will learn a stylish dance that is a fusion of Salsa, Ballroom, Tango, Latin and Jive...
I did not come across any way enquirers coming via a search on Ceroc could see the free entry offer, or any way those coming in via the paid ad could see the membership terms.
http://www.ceroc.com/nonmembers/membership.htm
The text above the enter postcode box is clickable, but points to http://www.ceroc.com/nonmebers
The free offer for entrants via the paid ad is a way of tracking the success of the adwords campaign. Unfortunately people coming in to ceroc.com via searches on ceroc or links from other sites are subjected to a very different welcoming experience. This, to my mind, probably biases the results so much as to make the exercise pointless.
the good news about that scary document is that very few ever read it. according to alexa.com. When I viewed, the average user views 2.7 pages on ceroc.com site. Since the first page is country selection and the second member/non-member selection that leaves about .7 of a page view per user for people coming through the front door. Alexa does indicate that people enter via searches on terms like "Ceroc swish", and go from there to cerocpix.com in only two clicks.
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/ceroc.com
It may not be the worst website, but it does need work
a google search on Ballroom dance lesson brings up 84 sponsored ads on my PC
a google search on free dance lesson, which is what Ceroc are offering, ( in all the areas I checked,) just brings up one ad, and that is for the search engine Ask.com. Ceroc should be able to get ads on that search displayed very cheaply.
Sadly a search on free ceroc lesson brought up a sponsored link for ceroc.com that just saidThe ad does not mention the free lesson. If the ad is clicked we are directed to pick your area page, which also does not mention that there is a free class on offer. Only when I got to the venue page did I see the free offer.Stay Fit, Energetic & Meet Nice People. Beginners Welcome!
It seems to me that the only people directed to that page are those looking for something else.
rubbish websites? My speciality
Every website that exists within the Beoverse (and there are many off them.. too many) is a cr*p website. I start one, then do nothing with it, or leave it to stagnate and die.
two examples...
http://www.abbott-little.co.uk/
Just brings up a random map of Palo Alto !! nothing else.. I was testing something (I forget what now) and never continued !!
http://www.anosmics-anonymous.co.uk
.. doesn't even take you anywhere !! it's registered but I've never even got round to setting up my nameservers etc and web forwarding.. so it just goes to the default registrar holding site !
and
http://www.thelicious.co.uk
has died and gone to join the great PHBBB forum in the sky..
I'm not posting links to the other 10 to 15 websites/domains I own.. as, quite frankly they're all equally as bad (if not worse!)
rotten.com
SICK SICK AND DOUBLE SICK.
My brother told me about it years ago.
Enter if you want to vomit ya lunch up. I have not been on it for years due to last visit which made me heave.
