I think it is important and nice to see that there will be one major weekender next year that isn't run by Ceroc.

From the published information, Eclipse June 2010 looks closer to Ceroc weekenders than previous iterations, particularly on price.

However you look at it though, Eclipse isn't going to have much the same set of teachers and DJs as can be found at the 7 other major weekenders.

Variety and at least a small element of choice is good.

I wish good luck to both John and Wes with whatever they do in their 'single' lives.
    What a load of rubbish!

When a marriage splits up you don't just ignore the facts and 'support both friends equally' you make a moral and ethical decision on support based on the facts.

If a man has an affair with a woman that everyone knows about but his wife, so is publically humiliating her, and then effectively throws her and her 2 kids out, having changed the locks on the doors and frozen the bank accounts are you telling me you would offer him your support???!! BULLSH1T (I'm assuming that the wife was an innocent here and did nothing to provoke such an action).

I'm sorry, but your response is just typical of someone wishing to absolve themselves of the situation so that they can continue to do whatever suits them best, irrespective of the effect on the other parties.

So typical... one of these days you lot will grow a back bone, but I'm guessing it won't be any day soon...

    -snip-

One would assume that as he has made it public he is fairly certain of the facts from a legal perspective, so we can assume that it is for the most part true.

And you want to continue to support this charlatan?
Franck, some right thinking person has got hold of Rocky's password.

Although it seems that Rocky was able to edit the post and add one of his usual lines of personal abuse. It was all going so well up to this point.

Could it be the same lack of backbone that fills Cerocport?

    and your point is?

I go to dance events to hear good music, be with friends and dance with good dancers. I couldn't give a toss if the organiser is in a running battle with someone else or not.
It'd be like using OpenOffice instead of MS Office because I don't like MicroSoft, despite the fact that none of my clients would use my company again.

Now I really do believe that someone is posting on Rocky's behalf - more sense rather than his usual non-sense!

Ok, so you have no ethical or moral code that you adhere to, that's fine.

When an organizer has been exposed as someone who will misrepresent the truth to gain support to earn money and when that organizer has been shown to deceive his business partners, my ethical code would tell me not to support his events... but I guess I'm in the minority.

Are dancers really that morally bankrupt?

Have they? I thought I'd just read a load of hearsay.
After all, if I believed everything I heard about some members of this forum and boycotted their events based on that, I wouldn't have a lot of places left to go.
Show me some evidence or proof and I might change my mind.

Re: Jive Addiction - The Next Chapter

Blimey ive only just read this thread and i was not included in the circle of trust via email. TBH though, i dont want to read it. Im not interested in who did what to who and what was his opinion and why it happened.

Ive been to southport via j&w and ceroc and enjoyed every aspect of all of them. I just think its totally unacceptable to air dirty linen in public, to make dancers feel that they should pick sides and to interupt the dance world that we make for ourselves. A little bit of banter is one thing but blimey..... whatever next....

Sticks and stones may break my bones
but dancing where i like will never hurt me.

    So.....

We had to give up the surgeon would not do the operation unless Rachel gave up, so we both gave up. Mind you put some weight on. Glad you and Danny are settled and happy.

I have named Franck in post no 74.

He should certainly be shamed after what he did in my dream.

I could be limping for weeks.

I'm sure Wes has walked away with a decent package; After all it was a limited company and are governed by several laws.
