Someone ssomewhere mentioned 'Arnica' cream - is this any good? Does it pong so terribnly that nobody can get near you?!!

You can also get arnica Caplets. If you take them for the Week before Southport and during the weekend as well as after they'll help with the swelling and bruising. And they don 't smell. It was recomended to me when I had surgery.

Arnica cream is good for healing bruises more quickly. It doesn't smell too bad but doesn't have the immediate effect of Nurofen gel.

my arnica cream doesn't pong at all - and while it doesn't take pain away like nurofen gel - it does work on the cause of the pain - helping the bruise to go away in much shorter time than normal or to not come up as big and painful.

I also find it good on strains/light twists of my ankle - helps prevent to much swelling

My ibuprofen gel doesn't have any smell - can't remember what brand it is, probably Boot's own.


My packing always includes a black out eyemask for trying to sleep during the day and a large feather duvet because those single polyester ones are useless.
