Do you lead to Dance or Dance to lead?

I appreciate the conversation analogy(in theory this is what it should be) but is it really that equal when it is the guys who determine which move to do and when you do them.

When I lead, I end up only dancing moves that will compliment the lady's style, the type of moves I lead are directly affected by what style/ability my follow is.. So you could say the follow is asking questions by the way they dance.. I'm answering by leading the answers..

Very much so - I dance very differently depending on who I'm leading.

As for me, well I kinda liked what ZW said... but I also dance for the music... depending on my lead I will have more or less opportunities to concentrate on /interpret the music and make that triangular connection 'the lead - me - the music' rather than just 'me - the lead'.

I wondered why it ALWAYS looks the same when I watch women dance. It is because guys are ALWAYS leading moves that compliment the style of the lady. errr ... yeah, naturally
