!!!Long & boring story warning!!! stop reading now if you're expecting to be entertained.

Inspired by a post by DS, which he shouldn't have posted and he's a very naughty smurf, I remembered a similar incident of poor professionalism that made I laff.

I had been with an insurance company for a few years and, long story short, they'd behaved poorly so I cancelled my direct debit and took up insurance with another company.
Then they contacted me and insisted that I had to pay it all.
I ignored them and this went on for about 6 months.
Eventually, I decided to pay up and sent a cheque for over £400.

A couple of weeks later I got a very polite letter explaining that they couldn't find my account details and could I please send them another cheque with my full reference numbers etc so they could take my money!

Needless to say I laughed and threw it in the bin.

So, the adverts are true Churchill did save me money.
(oops, is that naming and shaming? )

Anyone got any similar experiences they can share (without naming and shaming of course).
