The only problem with that is if you get a beginner with no sense of rhythm, or concept of dance who thinks that e.g. when the leader pulls, they should pull BACK just as hard. You could use sheer strength to make them move toward you, but is that then a "good lead" ?

I think we have to admit that a good leader may not necessarily be understood by a particular follower (regardless of their own "good/bad" status), just as a good speaker may not necessarily be understood by a listener either on a concept, vocabulary or simple accent and pronunciation level.
