Who's coming to the Jive Invasion London weekender 15-17 June?

They were talking about it at Jive Nation last night, the first 'London Jive Invasion'. Out of town-ers, start thinking about tapping up your London pals for accommodation.

So far there's a Jiveinvasion website with some high level details (went live yesterday I think so not appearing on Google yet), is it ok to publish the URL here? I dunno if there are rules about that. You can probably work it out anyway!

Not for me, there's already plenty going on that weekend, (including Eynsham Hall, and WCS at Ashtead). Though maybe the Funky Lush Sunday tea dance will be included as part of the Jive Nation event? But that is 25 miles from London.

Interested to see how this will work in London though.

Certainly sounds like an interesting idea - a weekend where modern jivers can come down to london and dance during the weekend but also do all the touristy stuff too.

Not sure if it will appeal to the people who already live in London though?

Does anyone have anymore details on this apart from what's on the website - particularly the open air dancing on the Sunday, such as where it'll be?

I see that both Jive Nation and Ceroc are promoting the BAC No Tea Tea Dance.

I picked up a leaflet for that. No proper address on it. Does BAC stand for Battersea Arts Centre, and is it at Battersea Town Hall?

I remember going to a dance there years ago (a darts do), great floor.

For the busks I've been to, I must have missed them putting down proper dance flooring on the middle of a high street, and not asking you to actually do any work.
