Then use the M6 toll. But be warned, on Fridays this is a pre-rush hour route. Also worth checking KeepMoving - UK Traffic Information or Highways Agency - Traffic Information before you leave. R-K

I remember meeting forumites from the south for the first time who said 'wow, you travelled a long way!' and it had taken me only about 5 hours door to door including the 'sitting around at the airport' time which was about 1/2 what it had taken them. |

The weekender will turn into a week and we'll all die of exhaustion. Then Jive addiction will go broke But hell we'll all be dead anyway and without and previous Southporters to advertise the event there won't be anyone who wants to go anyway. hmmmm?

the guide for the weekend JA have just sent out an email to say this will be sent out later this week ??? Unless they are referring to the 'other' BBQ which I believe the site organsises (this was outside the Bar area last year - by the decking) Quote:

Turn off at Preston and then pray ![]() If you're really lucky your car mates will have GPS fancy phones that will confidently lead you across fields or roadds that really aren't there. The best direction was "follow the moon" - yep, you had to be there ![]() When Preston gets in the way, you kind of head right - past the most purple pub in the world. Then follow the signs to Southport. No problem ![]() Save me a dance, it's time we met If I ever get there ![]() | |

![]() This time it'll hopefully be "follow the sun". If we miss Southport, we may just end up in the Caribbean instead. ![]()

Stay on the M6 a bit longer and turn off at the M58, that will take you to the A565 to Formby and then Southport. This way you avoid Preston (good move) AND Southport (better move) and you arrive at Pontins via Tesco, easy! |

If you do take the Preston route, then you can take the coastal road round the front of Southport to avoid a lot of the traffic. You also go past the Morrison's if you need to stop at a supermarket.

If we get enough ideas perhaps we can go a poll for a winner, Im sure John or Wes wont mind. I have been chosen again to do the DJ slot during the cabaret, thanks John & Wes. And before we go there, no not pirate "rip off" tracks that brought of the back of a lorry or recorded somewhere you shouldnt and nothing from Pirate ship " radio caroline" Then maybe not, it might be interesting to hear what rip off pirate tracks you have?? and what you FAV is |
