I assume I will be organising the barbie again as it normally comes from my chalet. I think a gas one would be great, but a pain to bring with all the other stuff we need, best wait to nearer the time and see what we can do etc.

I usually leave the actual cooking on the BBQ to the guys, they are much better Barbie Chefs than us girlies, however I usually light them and get them ready for the boys. The very little ones are a nightmare, but the larger ones are fine, however we need about 4 of them.

I will start posting what we need about a week or so before hand, and I usually fill in the gaps.

Re: SOUTHPORT (30th May 2008 - 2nd Jun 2008)

I would love to actually meet (and dance) with the 'new' forumites (mainly those who have joined in the past year) - I am quite upset I don't know who they are

I think an introduction to a new (new to yourself that is) forumite should be a dance (or a chat if of the same sex etc) so that you will be able to remember that person.

Fletch does a good job of introducing people but it happens so quickly, it is difficult to remember the person when you see them again.

PS: reason for post is the amount of forumites attending and I only know a few !

Hmmmmmm.......... unfortunately that doesn't work very well

You have to be there at the very beginning (too early for most to go dancing if you want to dance all night)

Personally I don't normally arrive until about 8pm and need a couple of hours at least to chill out and get ready for dancing

Re: SOUTHPORT (30th May 2008 - 2nd Jun 2008)

On a slight change of subject, i got an event invitation for southport on facebook today, an was amused to see that apparently it was being hosted by Uk west coast swing? Clearly the person writing the invite doesnt actually know much about southport.

So when is this BBQ? Havent ever gone to it before

There are still people I don't know, or I do know them and I then can't put the face and name together, thats worse cos you don't like to ask again, it seems like you forgotten them

We really wanted to go to Southport this time but left it too late. Shame. If anyone in a Club 2 bedroom changes their mind about going - please let me know.

I think it is more that they want to go as a couple (currently Jive Addiction are only accepting male bookings; so unless Mrs Scathe undergoes a quick sex change they can't book).

We want to go as a family, and as the boy now crawls everywhere we wanted a Club apartment - all of which are sold out. I also intended to bring my sister as a babysittter.
