Yikes! I've just gone and entered the intermediates and DWAS categories

. For the next 2 weeks, I'm going to be a nervous wreck now!

I've not danced for 9 weeks, so I'm definately itching to dance! My first dance since I left the UK will be the night before the champs

Whats the best way to get there? Four of us, one car, looking at NCP its miles from the nearest car park...given it finishes @ 1am, which is after the last tube, and after the last trains from Victoria.

I've been told Troxy isn't in the nicest bit of London so I'm slightly apprehensive about leaving my car on one of the surrounding roads. Any comments? Also if I were to do this, is parking easy to find?

I had no problems last year finding parking in a nearby street, but do be warned that there is a lot of residents only parking around (some of which is Mon-Fri only, so find the right spot), and apparently some fairly active traffic wardens.

It's not the nicest bit of London (ie not the sort of area to wander around plugged into your Ipod or chatting on your new, expensive mobile and looking a bit lost), but not the roughest either. If there's a group of you walking back to the car at the end, then you'll be fine.

And don't forget to remove your radio and/or tom tom from your car.

That applies to everywhere in London though.

I had a great time during the Champs weekend last year. Big thanks to Raphael for being a fantastic host.

I'm happy that the situation is the same this year too. Blues room at Slinkys on the Saturday and an invitation to host a second room at the Champs.

They have suggested Rachel and myself deliver a 10pm till 1am Blues set. I'm kind of taken with the idea of squeezing in a 12 hour marathon.

Endurance sets can be very rewarding as it forces you into different patterns of thinking. Any cracking tracks we can unearth during the course of the day would be worth their weight in gold.

We had the first public performance of our team cabaret routine on Saturday and it went really well. The competition can't come quick enough now!!
