Who's going where? Weekend 29th Feb/1st/2nd March 2008

Another pre-poll thread for next weekend (for people to suggest events they're interested in, before the moderators make it into a poll in advance of the weekend itself).

My selection of events that interest me:

Fri - Two Room Freestyle (Ceroc Worcestershire) - Coppertops (Worcester)

Sat - Ceroc South Birmingham : Birmingham - Wythall (South Birmingham)
Sat - Smooth Blues & Hot Latin Night (Want2Dance Burton) - Burton upon Trent
Sat - Ceroc North West - Hyde (Manchester)
Sat - Back to the 70's Party Night (Ceroc Midlands) - Wolverhampton
Sat - LB Jive - Northwich

Sun - Corporate Dance Company - Bromsgrove
Sun - Bossa Nova Freestyle (Ceroc Worcestershire) - Worcester

I'm hoping to get to Worcester on Friday - it's the 1st time they've had a 2-room freestyle there, and I think Lucky and Ruby are planning to be there too.

In Scotland there's the Kirriemuir weekender, with a freestyle on the Friday and Saturday. I expect to be there on the Saturday evening.

I'm up for Worcs this weekend... although I was supposed to be freestyling at Luton on Friday night.. but it sounds one helluva better night in the Mids (hope I might meet some familiar faces) and its 2 quid cheaper (ignoring the extra fuel costs involved in a 3hr round trip lol). Plus I gotta get Fletch's latest Fletcherette out and about on the scene!

Need to be near North London this weekend. I guess Chesham is the best option, unless I have missed something else? Hope they have the blues room this week.

Shame as Worcester sounds like a great night, if I can juggle things I will be there instead.

Worcester's on my list of possibilities, as I passed it last week on my way to Gloucester, so now I know where it is Hopefully some of the same crowd that were at Gloucester will be there, as there were some nice dancers and a nice friendly bunch, with a few blasts from the past.
WCSing for me on sat.

I am very excited by this event. 2 rooms and such awesome DJ's, it's going to be an excellent night. Lucky and Ruby are going to be there? Really? I wish somebody had let me know. Like I said excited about this event.

Don't think I am going to bother with this one this time. As much as I loved Pat and Nikki I really didn't go much on the event. Such a shame too as I would love to support such lovely people. However when the DJ is a young lad sat by a laptop with the entire nights music already programmed in so that he can text his mates all night that really makes a difference to me. I much prefer events where the DJ actually cares about the dancers and can read the room. Guess that's why people like OXO's really stand out.

Of course he will.... I haven't actually told him yet... but when I advocate just how special a night this is going to be ...and how easy a drive it will be... and how basically I'm going so he has no choice... we will be there! Forum name still under discussion *sigh*

Anyone know if there'll be extra floor put down for the Worcester (Coppertops) freestyle? The upstairs floor isn't very big and the downstairs floor is half the size of the upstairs one.

Stuck in Stoke on Saturday so was thinking about going across to PULSE's freestyle at NOTTINGHAM. Anybody been? Any views? Worth the trip?
