Question Ceroc Scottish Championships

It's all gone very quiet on this topic - when can we expect to hear a fanfare of trumpets and an announcement, so we can start doing some diary management???? (or did I miss it? )

Scottish Champs

No you have not missed anything John, I was wondering the same thing. Last I heard was a couple of weeks ago when Scot said he had a couple of things to confirm and that he would announce details at the class " SOON".
Guess I'll just have to jog his memory at Marcos tonight!!!!!

Hiya Lydia, bienvenue on the Forum
It is good to hear from you, and I hope that Viktor joins in the fun too.
Scot has been working very hard on the Scottish Champs, and now the the Ceroc Champs are over, we will be able to launch it officially.
I do hope you and Viktor + everyone else from down South will be able to come and make the day even more special.

Hurrah!

What's the theme of the "special class" - or are you waiting for inspiration from the workshop? Will it involve a comb??

See you tonight! (Glasgow lesson, in case anyone's wondering....)

Ok, just because a guy likes the odd Comb
I am always open to suitably sexy / thrilling alternatives!
Sorry about the evening, though I could always whisk you away to Glasgow, I am sure that Vik would not mind

Well it helps, with all the practice we get, we are obviously very good at it!
But as with spinning anyone can do it if they are willing to put the effort in.

Sorry, got carried away (again?)
Let's bring the subject back to the Scottish Champs. Now is the time for all of you budding choreographers to start planning your Team Cabaret or couple showcase...

I wonder what theme might be popular this year?

Sorry Janet..

Sorry Janet... back to the championships...

Franck/Scot - I've never been to a ceroc comp, although I've done a few (university) ballroom ones. How does the competition work - do you start off with x couples in a main comp who go rough rounds to a final? Are there different categories of dancers? Will there be a lucky dip - how does it work? Or are these questions that need to be finalised before the all singing all dancing ( ) announcement is made about the comp? What should I expect?

Over to you!

Jayne

Hello Hannah! Not sure if it's the Taxi Dancer I know (Franck'll change your login to "brand" you if you are ), but you're another Weegie-based person anyhow, so a special welcome is in order. You sound like the one I know anyway...

I would have gone to the workshop, (thus providing an extra male? Oh no it doesn't work like that, forgot. Sorry..) but for the fact that I'll hopefully be airborne myself that Saturday...on a parafoil. As if Ceroc wasn't adventurous enough at times...

And welcome to the 100th member as well, whoever you are...
