Yes, Applied is the best of the three and I don't mind Ambience. I just tried to find some light coloured ones. There's plenty black or bdark blue but I don't find them very easy on the eye...

The blue was good as it actually looks like you might be working I miss it

The metallic doesn't really have enough contrast, I liked the black text on the pale background.

The orange just makes my corneas peel - sorry!

azande, the three that you have suggested look OK colour-wise but have quite small fonts - I kinda like the 10 point default on the Basic Blue.

Thank you very much. It would be lovely, if only all the backgrounds were white (except where the text is white, then they should be black.) See, I'm a Forum skin snob!

PS I'm using it now to compose this reply, and the reply box (starts just under the "Message:" text) still has the Orange skin pale orange background.

With apologies to Douglas Adams...

That grey scheme is just well wicked - grey menu fonts, grey user names, grey thread titles and grey rep pips on a grey background. Even the black font looks like it might be dark grey... I'm losing the will to live... so I shall see if I can find the grey button to turn my colour scheme back to Basic Blue.

PS ESG - see what you mean about the yellow box, nearly gave me a heart attack when I hit the reply button.

Count me as another vote for the Ceroc Orange layout but in black and white

This seems a trifle harsh to me (it never used to be like that).

I can see a case for only Silver members having the power to delete, but IMO the power to edit is fairly fundamental and should be there for everyone.

If all users have the ability to correct typos, it makes the forum more readable for everyone, including Silver members.
