New Forum Software!

Ooooh, new version of the forum software!!! That was fast!

Shame none of the buttons above my compose window now work...

Maybe there's an option...

UPDATE:

Seems for me the choice is a simple text box, or a simple text box with lots of buttons that don't work... Guess which one I'm choosing...

It's going to take a while to get used to the new "New Posts" behaviour, but I think it's a change for the good. (Now the forum actually knows what you've read, rather than just assuming you've read everything up to the last time you logged in.)

I guess... I can't see my avatar, but the forum software knows it still.

Probably just an option that needs tweaked.

just checked all the right boxes are ticked - think the boss hasn't finished the change-over yet

The "recent day" key doesn't work in certain places too

Yep, should now be sorted.

The new software has many new features, so feel free to share them with everyone as you discover. Similarly, make sure you pass on any 'odd' behaviour so I can fix it.
If reporting any other problem, make sure you mention which 'Style' i.e. which forum colour you're using.

Use the "Recent posts" drop down manu and choose "last day", you should see them as you used to.

Now the recent posts link has disappeared from the top menus and the Quick Style Chooser doesn't work. I'm using the Basic Blue at the moment

I noticed that. I would use this to reply to threads that I knew have been active in the past few days (as Drathzel was saying). Will it be back?

"quick links" then "today's posts" works for me.

So, will this new fangled software improve the quality of the posts, discussions, etc?

I had the opposite problem: I could see people's avatars, and had to go into User CP and disable them again.

I just discovered that because they don't work, I cannot attach images to my posts, and the IMG tag is still disabled and so is HTML code.
